S.I. No. 747/2020 - Housing, Local Government and Heritage (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order 2020


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 5th January, 2021.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage (as adapted by the Housing, Planning and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 408 of 2020 )), and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Housing, Local Government and Heritage (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order 2020.

2. The powers (other than the power to prosecute an offence) and duties of the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, conferred on him –

(a) by or under the Acts of the Oireachtas or statutes which were in force in Saorstát Éireann immediately before the date of the coming into operation of the Constitution and which continued in force by virtue of Article 50 of the Constitution specified in Part 1 of the Schedule,

(b) by or under the provisions of the Acts of the Oireachtas specified in Part 2 of the Schedule, and

(c) under the instruments specified in Part 3 of the Schedule,

are delegated to Malcolm Noonan, Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
