S.I. No. 661/2020 - Harbours Act 2015 (Galway Harbour Company Transfer Day) Order 2020


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, EAMON RYAN, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 of the Harbours Act 2015 (No. 61 of 2015) (as adapted by the Transport, Tourism and Sport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 351 of 2020 )), with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform and the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage (as adapted by the Housing, Planning and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 408 of 2020 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Harbours Act 2015 (Galway Harbour Company Transfer Day) Order 2020.

2. Ownership of all shares in the share capital of Galway Harbour Company -

(a) held by the Minister and the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, and

(b) held in trust for the Minister,

shall vest in Galway City Council on the 1st day of January 2021, without the need for any instrument of transfer or other form of assignment.
