S.I. No. 330/2017 - Water Services Act 2014 (Extension of Suspension of Domestic Water Charges) (Amendment) Order 2017.

I, EOGHAN MURPHY, Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government, in the exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (1A)(c) of section 3 of the Water Services Act 2014 (as inserted by Section 2 of the Water Services (Amendment) Act 2016 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Water Services Act 2014 (Extension of Suspension of Domestic Water Charges) (Amendment) Order 2017.

2. Article 2 of the Water Services Act 2014 (Extension of Suspension of Domestic Water Charges) Order 2017 ( S.I. No. 118 of 2017 ) is hereby amended by the substitution of 31 December 2017 for 31 July 2017.

This Order provides for the extension of the suspension of domestic water charges to 31 December 2017, to enable the Government to complete its consideration of the recommendations of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Future Funding of Domestic Water Services and to bring forward legislation to give effect to the recommendations of the Committee.
