S.I. No. 574/2016 - Housing Assistance Payment (Section 50) (No. 2) Regulations 2016.

I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 4 and 50 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014) (as adapted by the Environment, Community and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2016 ( S.I. No. 394 of 2016 )), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Assistance Payment (Section 50) (No.2) Regulations 2016.

2. (1) Part 4 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014) shall be applied from 1 December 2016 by each housing authority referred to in paragraph (2) in respect of all classes of qualified household.

(2) The housing authorities for the purposes of paragraph (1) are—

(a) Cavan County Council,

(b) Kerry County Council,

(c) Laois County Council,

(d) Leitrim County Council,

(e) Longford County Council,

(f) Roscommon County Council,

(g) Westmeath County Council,

(h) Wexford County Council, and

(i) Wicklow County Council.

Continuing the phased introduction of the Housing Assistance Payment scheme under the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 , these Regulations provide that Part 4 of that Act will be applied in respect of all classes of qualified household by Cavan County Council, Kerry County Council, Laois County Council, Leitrim County Council, Longford County Council, Roscommon County Council, Westmeath County Council, Wexford County Council and Wicklow County Council, from 1 December 2016.
