S.I. No. 421/2014 - Social Protection (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2014.


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 26th September, 2014.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Social Protection and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Protection (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2014.

2. The powers (other than the power to prosecute an offence) and duties of the Minister for Social Protection conferred on her—

(a) by or under the enactments specified in Part 1 of the Schedule,

(b) by or under the provisions of the enactments specified in Part 2 of the Schedule, and

(c) under the Regulations specified in Part 3 of the Schedule,

are delegated to Kevin Humphreys, Minister of State at the Department of Social Protection.

SCHEDULE

Part 1

Comhairle Act 2000 (No. 1 of 2000), other than sections 9, 10, 20, 21 and 22

Civil Registration Act 2004 (No. 3 of 2004), other than section 66

Part 2

Chapters 1, 2 and 3 of Part VI of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act 1981 (No. 1 of 1981)

Chapter 9 of Part 3 of the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005 (No. 26 of 2005)

Section 4 and Part 9 of the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005 , in so far as they relate to Chapter 9 of Part 3 of that Act

Section 53 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014)

Part 3

Social Welfare (Consolidated Supplementary Welfare Allowance) Regulations 2007 to 2014
