S.I. No. 36/2013 - Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Act, 2013 (Special Liquidation) Order 2013.


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 8th February, 2013.

I, MICHAEL NOONAN, Minister for Finance, pursuant to and in accordance with the obligation and duty imposed upon me by Section 4 of the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Act, 2013 (No. 2 of 2013), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Act, 2013 (Special Liquidation) Order 2013.

2. Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Limited (the “Company”) shall by this Order be wound- up under the provisions of the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Act, 2013 (the “Act”).

3. Kieran Wallace of KPMG, 1 Stokes Place, St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2 and Eamonn Richardson of the same firm are by this Order appointed as joint Special Liquidators of the Company and that:

(a) each of the said joint Special Liquidators shall be at liberty to act immediately in such capacity;

(b) each power and duty conferred and imposed upon a special liquidator by the Act may be exercised and fulfilled by either or both of the joint Special Liquidators, acting jointly or individually; and

(c) any act required or authorised by the Act to be done by a special liquidator pursuant to the Act may be done by either or both of the joint Special Liquidators, acting jointly or individually.
