S.I. No. 182/2013 - Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) (Amendment) Regulations 2013.

I, RICHARD BRUTON, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 58 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 (No. 10 of 2005) (as adapted by the Enterprise, Trade and Innovation (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 245 of 2011 )) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Council Directive 92/57/EEC1 of 24 June 1992 on the implementation of minimum safety and health requirements at temporary or mobile construction sites, and after consultation with the Health and Safety Authority, hereby make the following Regulations:

1. (a) These Regulations may be cited as the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) (Amendment) Regulations 2013.

(b) The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006 to 2012 and these Regulations may be cited as the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006 to 2013.

2. Regulation 1 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 ( S.I. No. 461 of 2012 ) is amended by substituting for paragraph (2) the following paragraph:

“(2) These Regulations come into operation on 1 August 2013”

The purpose of these Regulations is to amend the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 ( S.I. No. 461 of 2012 ) as regards the operational date for those Regulations which is changed from 1 June 2013 to 1 August 2013.
