I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving further effect to Commission Implementing Decision 2012/248/EU of 7 May 20121 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. TheseRegulations may be cited as the European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Precautionary Measures) (Amendment) Regulations 2012. | ||
2. The European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Precautionary Measures) Regulations 2008 ( S.I. No. 7 of 2008 ) are amended, in Regulation 2(1) by the substitution for the definition of “Commission Decision”(inserted by the European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Precautionary Measures) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 (S.I. 11 of 2011)), of— | ||
“ ‘Commission Decision’ means Commission Decision 2005/734/EC of 19 October 2005 as amended by Commission Decision 2005/745/EC of 21 October 2005, Commission Decision 2005/855/EC of 30 November 2005, Commission Decision 2006/574/EC of 18 August 2006, Commission Decision 2007/105/EC of 15 February 2007, Commission Decision 2007/803/EC of 6 December 2007, Commission Decision 2010/734/EU of 30 November 2010 and Commission Implementing Decision 2012/248/EU of 7 May 2012;”. | ||

This Order gives effect to Commission Implementing Decision 2012/248 of 7 May 2012 amending Decisions 2005/692/EC, 2005/734/EC, 2007/25/EC and 2009/494/EC, as regards the continuation of Biosecurity Measures to be applied against the risk of Avian Influenza. | ||
