S.I. No. 271/2012 - Local Government Act 2001 (Specified Council) (Limerick) Order 2012.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 27th July, 2012.

I, PHIL HOGAN, Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 144(1B) (inserted by section 16 (b) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2012 (No. 17 of 2012)) of the Local Government Act 2001 (No. 37 of 2001), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 2001 (Specified Council) (Limerick) Order 2012.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of August 2012.

3. The specified council for the purposes of section 144(1B) of the Local Government Act 2001 in respect of Limerick County and Limerick City shall be Limerick City.

This Order provides that Limerick City shall be the council under which a manager shall hold employment for the position of manager of Limerick County and Limerick City.
