I, MARY HARNEY, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 20(2) of the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2004 (No. 6 of 2004), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2004 (Commencement) Order 2008. | ||
2. The 1st day of July 2009 is appointed as the day on which the following sections of the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2004 (No. 6 of 2004) come into operation— | ||
(a) section 5, | ||
(b) section 6, | ||
(c) section 7, | ||
(d) section 8, | ||
(e) section 9 (in so far as it relates to subsections (2), (4), (6), (7), (8), (9), (10) and (11) of section 38 of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002)), | ||
(f) section 10, | ||
(g) section 13, and | ||
(h) section 14. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||

This Order may be cited as Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2004 (Commencement) Order 2008. | ||
This Order commences sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (in so far as it relates to subsections (2), (4), (6), (7), (8), (9), (10) and (11) of section 38 of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002)), 10, 13 and 14 of the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2004 (No. 6 of 2004) with effect from 1 July 2009. |
