Employment Permits Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2006

I, Micheál Martin, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 41(4) of the Employment Permits Act 2006 (No. 16 of 2006), hereby order as follows:

1.   This Order may be cited as the Employment Permits Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2006.

2.   The 1st day of January 2007 is appointed as the day on which the Employment Permits Act 2006 (No. 16 of 2006) comes into operation.

The effect of this Order is to appoint the 1st January 2007 as the date from which the provisions of the Employment Permits Act 2006 come into operation.
