An Bord Bia (Levy) Regulations 2005

I, Mary Coughlan, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 38 (11) (inserted by An Bord Bia (Amendment) Act 2004 (No. 14 of 2004)) of An Bord Bia Act 1994 (No. 22 of 1994), hereby make the following Regulations:

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Bord Bia (Levy) Regulations 2005 and come into operation on 1 January 2006.

2.  A levy payable pursuant to section 37(1)(b) of An Bord Bia Act 1994 shall be paid -

(a)  by cheque or banker's draft made payable to the Board, or

(b)  by means of adhesive stamps purchased from the Board before 1 January 2006.

3.  Payment of levy shall be accompanied by a record in the form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

4.  The An Bord Bia (Levy) Regulations 2001 ( S.I. No. 533 of 2001 ) are revoked.

The purpose of these Regulations is to provide for the payment of levy to An Bord Bia on cattle, sheep and pigs exported live from the State by means of cheque or banker's draft.
