Health Act 2004 (Commencement) Order 2005

The Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 3 of the Health Act, 2004 (No. 42 of 2004) hereby orders as follows:

1.   This Order may be cited as the Health Act, 2004 (Commencement) Order 2005.

2.   Sections 42 and 79 of the Health Act 2004 (No. 42 of 2004) are hereby commenced.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This Note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

This Order brings sections 42 and 79 of the Health Act 2004 into operation. Section 42 provides for the making of regulations which provide for the establishment of Regional Health Forums. Section 79 provides for the making of regulations specifying the manner in which the Health Service Executive conducts its dealings with members of the Houses of the Oireachtas.
