ELECTORAL (AMENDMENT) ACT 2004 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER 2005

The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1(8) of the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2004 (No. 15 of 2004), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Electoral (Amendment Act 2004 (Commencement) Order 2005.

2. On the 17th day of February 2005, subsection (4) of section 5 of the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2004 shall come into operation.

This Order brings into operation on the 17th day of February 2005 section 5(4) of the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2004 which relates to amendment or revocation of orders requiring electronic voting and counting at elections and referenda.
