Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2001 (Section 4) (Commencement) Order, 2005

I, Mary Harney, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 5 (4) of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2001 (No. 14 of 2001), hereby order as follows:

1.         This Order may be cited as the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2001 (Section 4) (Commencement) Order, 2005.

2.         The 28th day of September, 2005, is hereby appointed as the day on which Section 4 of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2001 (No. 14 of 2001), shall come into operation.

This Order provides that the Minister for Health and Children shall, “not later than 9 months after the end of each year beginning with the year 2002, make a report to each House of the Oireachtas on the measures taken by health boards during the preceding year to prevent suicides”.
