Oireachtas (Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices) (Secretarial Facilities Regulations 2005

The Houses of the Oireachtas Commission, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 2(1)(c) (inserted by section 3 of the Oireachtas (Miscellaneous Provisions and Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices (Amendment) Act 1996 (No. 39 of 1996 and transferred by section 4(3)(b) of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission Act 2003 (No. 28 of 2003)) of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) Act 1962 (No. 32 of 1962), hereby makes the following regulations:

1.       These Regulations may be cited as the Oireachtas (Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices) (Secretarial Facilities) Regulations 2005.

2.       Notwithstanding the revocation of the Oireachtas (Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices) (Secretarial Facilities) Regulations 2004 ( S.I. No. 688 of 2004 ) and notwithstanding Regulation 4 of those Regulations, the secretarial facilities fund which was payable pursuant to Regulation 3 of those Regulations may be paid after 31 January 2005 to Members of Dáil or Seanad Éireann who, after that date and before 1 July 2005, submitted or submit completed claims in accordance with the Schedule to those Regulations.
