I, Martin Cullen, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by
section 3
of the
European Communities Act 1972
(No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to Directive 2003/97/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 10 November 2003 1
in so far as it relates to the entry into service of motor vehicles, hereby make the following regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Mechanically Propelled Vehicle Entry into Service) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2004.
2. The European Communities (Mechanically Propelled Vehicle Entry into Service) Regulations 2003 (
S.I. No. 551 of 2003
) are amended by substituting for Schedules 1 and 2 (inserted by the European Communities (Mechanically Propelled Vehicle Entry into Service) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 (
S.I. No. 246 of 2004
)) the following:
