S.I. No. 249/2002 - Public Enterprise (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order 2002

The Government, on request of the Minister for Public Enterprise, and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1.        This Order may be cited as the Public Enterprise (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order 2002.

2.        The powers and duties of the Minister for Public Enterprise conferred on her by or under the Gas (Interim) (Regulation) Act, 2002 (No. 10 of 2002), insofar as they relate to natural gas, are delegated to Joe Jacob, Minister of State at the Department of Public Enterprise.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order delegates, with effect from the date specified, powers and duties of the Minister provided under the Gas (Interim)(Regulation) Act, 2002 (No. 10 of 2002) insofar as they relate to natural gas, from the Minister for Public Enterprise, Mary O'Rourke, T.D., to Joe Jacob, Minister of State at the Department of Public Enterprise.
