S.I. No. 293/1999 - Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Section 17 and Section 18) (North Western) Order, 1999.


An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 17 and Section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Section 17 and Section 18) (North Western) Order, 1999.

2. The existing Registrars' Districts of Carrick and Killybegs shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Killybegs.

3. The existing Registrars' Districts of Ballintra and Ballyshannon shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Ballyshannon.

4. The existing Registrars' Districts of Dungloe No. 1 and Dungloe No. 2 shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Dungloe.

5. The existing Registrars' Districts of Ardara, Tantallon and Glenties shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Tantallon.

6. The existing Superintendent Registrars' Districts of Dromore West, Sligo and Tobercurry shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Superintendent Registrar's District to be known as the Superintendent Registrar's District of Sligo.

7. The existing Registrars' Districts of Sligo No. 1, Sligo No. 3, Carney No. 1, Carney No. 2, Riverstown, Aclare and Tobercurry shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Sligo.

8. The existing Registrars' Districts of Easkey and Castleconnor shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Faskey.

9. The existing Superintendent Registrars' Districts of Carrick-on-Shannon, Manorhamilton and Mohill shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Superintendent Registrar's District to be known as the Superintendent Registrar's District of Leitrim.

10. The existing Registrars' Districts of Kinlough, Cliunin, Kiltyclogher, Drumkeeran, Drumshanbo, Ballinamore, Newtowngore No. 1, Mohill and Jamestown shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Leitrim.

11. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1999.
