S.I. No. 212/1999 - Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (Section 32(1)(b)(ii)) (Commencement) Order, 1999.

I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 32 (2) (inserted by section 11 of the Horse and Greyhound Racing (Betting Charges and Levies) Act, 1999 (No. 24 of 1999)) of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (No. 12 of 1958) (as adapted by the Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 302 of 1997 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (Section 32(1)(b)(ii)) (Commencement) Order, 1999.

2. The 25th day of July, 1999, is hereby appointed as the day on which subparagraph (ii) of section 32 (1)(b) (inserted by section 11 of the Horse and Greyhound Racing (Betting Charges and Levies) Act, 1999 (No. 24 of 1999)) of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (No. 12 of 1958), shall come into operation.

This Order commences, with effect from 25 July, 1999, subparagraph (ii) of Section 32 (1)(b) of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 which is inserted into that Act by Section 11 of the Horse and Greyhound Racing (Betting Charges and Levies) Act, 1999 .
