JURY DISTRICTS ORDER, 1997

I, NORA OWEN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5 (3) of the Juries Act, 1976 (No. 4 of 1976) hereby Order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Jury Districts Order, 1997.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 25th day of March, 1997.

3. Part II of the Schedule to the Jury Districts Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 57 of 1976 ) is hereby amended by the deletion of the reference to the jury district. County of Leitrim (Jury District No. I (Carrickon-Shannon) and Jury District No. 2 (Manorhamilton)).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Statutory Instrument which comes into operation on 25 March, 1997 amends the Jury Districts Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 57 of 1976 ). For the purposes of the Juries Act, 1976 the County of Leitrim is now one Jury district.
