TELECOMMUNICATIONS (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT, 1996 (EXPIRATION OF TERMS OF OFFICE) ORDER, 1996.

I, Alan Dukes, T.D., Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 10 (3) of the Telecommunications (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1996 (No. 34 of 1996), hereby make the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Telecommunications (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1996 (Expiration of Terms of Office) Order, 1996.

2. The terms of office of each of the following persons, being directors of Bord Telecom Éireann, shall hereby expire:

(a) Nicky Ryan, and

(b) Adrian Harney.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of the Order is to ensure that the number of directors remaining appointed to the board of directors of Bord Telecom Eireann under the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Acts 1977 and 1988 shall be the number specified in the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Order, 1996.
