Studies and analyses by Competition Authority.

8.—The following section is hereby substituted for section 11 of the Principal Act:

“11.—(1) The Authority may and, at the request of the Minister, shall, study and analyse any practice or method of competition affecting the supply and distribution of goods or the provision of services and which, in the case of a request by the Minister, is specified in the request. Such a study or analysis may consist of, or include, a study or analysis of any development outside the State.

(2) The Authority shall, at the request of the Minister, report to the Minister the results of a study or analysis referred to in subsection (1).”.
