DISEASES OF ANIMALS (NOTIFICATION OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES) ORDER, 1994.

I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 , 12 and 13 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), as adapted by the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 11 of 1993 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Notification of Infectious Diseases) Order, 1994, and shall come into operation on the 1st day of February, 1994.

2. Any person who has or has had in his possession or under his charge any deer which is affected with epizootic haemorrhagic disease or which he suspects to be so affected, and any veterinary surgeon who, whether by reason of an examination or otherwise, believes or suspects that any deer is so affected, shall, with all practicable speed, notify the fact to—

( a ) the Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Dublin 2, or

( b ) an inspector at a District Veterinary Office of the Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
