REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT, 1863 (SECTION 18) (MAYO) ORDER, 1993.

An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Section 18) (Mayo) Order, 1993.

2. The division of the County of Mayo into Registrars' Districts shall be varied as follows:

( a ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Ballina No. 1 and Ballina No. 2 shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Ballina.

( b ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Ballycastle and Killala shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Killala.

( c ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Ballinrobe and Cappaghduff shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Ballinrobe.

( d ) The existing Registrars' Districts of An Geata Mór and Knocknalower shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Belmullet.

3. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1994.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to amalgamate certain Registrars' Districts in the County of Mayo so as to reduce the number of such districts in that county.
