REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT, 1863 (SECTIONS 17 AND 18) (OFFALY) ORDER, 1993.

An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Sections 17 and 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Sections 17 and 18) (Offaly) Order, 1993.

2. The existing Superintendent Registrars' Districts of Birr and Tullamore shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Superintendent Registrar's District to be known as the Superintendent Registrar's District of Tullamore.

3. The division of the County of Offaly into Registrars' Districts shall be varied as follows:

( a ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Banaher, Birr and Killyon, Kinnitty, Shinrone and Roscrea No. 2 shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Birr.

( b ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Rhode and Edenderry shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Edenderry.

( c ) The existing Registrars' Districts of Clara, Cloneygowan No. 2, Daingean, Ferbane, Kilcormac, Killoughey and Tullamore shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Tullamore.

4. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to amalgamate certain Superintendent Registrars' Districts and Registrars' Districts in the County of Offaly so as to reduce the number of such districts in that county.
