REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS (IRELAND) ACT, 1863 (SECTIONS 17 AND 18) (LONGFORD) ORDER, 1993.

An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Sections 17 and 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 (Sections 17 and 18) (Longford) Order, 1993.

2. The existing Superintendent Registrars' Districts of Ballymahon, Granard and Longford shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Superintendent Registrar's District to be known as the Superintendent Registrar's District of Longford.

3. The existing Registrars' Districts of Abbeyshrule, Ballinalee, Ballymahon, Colmcille, Drumlish, Killashee, Longford and Meathas Truim shall be amalgamated and shall together form one Registrar's District to be known as the Registrar's District of Longford.

4. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to amalgamate certain Superintendent Registrars' Districts and Registrars' Districts in the County of Longford so as to reduce the number of such districts in that county.
