SOCIAL WELFARE ACT, 1991 (SECTION 19) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1992.

The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 19 of the Social Welfare Act, 1991 (No. 7 of 1991), hereby orders as follows:

1 Citation.

1. This order may be cited as the Social Welfare Act, 1991 (Section 19) (Commencement) Order, 1992.

2 Commencement.

2. Section 19 of the Social Welfare Act, 1991 shall come into operation on the 4th day of January, 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order brings Section 19 of the Social Welfare Act, 1991 , which provides for the payment of unemployment benefit at reduced rates in the case of employees whose weekly earnings are below a prescribed amount, into effect from 4 January, 1993.
