MERCHANT SHIPPING (FEES) (PASSENGER BOATS) ORDER, 1992.

I, MICHAEL WOODS, Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 31 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1992 , (No. 2 of 1992), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Fees) (Passenger Boats) Order, 1992.

2. The amount of the fee payable in respect of the grant of a licence is hereby prescribed as £20.

3. The amount of the fee payable in respect of an inspection by an authorised person for the purposes of Part III of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1992 , (No. 2 of 1992), hereby prescribed as £80 together with an amount calculated at the rate of £40 per hour for each hour (parts of an hour being disregarded) taken by the authorised person to carry out any subsequent inspection required in connection with the application for the grant of the licence to which the first inspection related.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Order prescribes fees payable in respect of inspections and licences for passenger boats which are vessels carrying not more than twelve passengers.
