GREYHOUND RACE TRACK (LEVY) (PERCENTAGE) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1990.

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 32 of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 , (No. 12 of 1958), Bord na gCon, with the consent of the Minister for Agriculture & Food, hereby makes the following regulations:—

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) (Amendment) Regulations, 1990.

(2) These regulations shall come into operation on the 21st day of April, 1990.

(3) The provisions of the Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1985, (No. 79 of 1985) shall stand suspended in respect of the greyhound race meetings to be held at Shelbourne Park Greyhound Race Track and Dundalk Greyhound Race Track for one day on 21st April, 1990.

(4) At the meetings to be held at Shelbourne Park Greyhound Race Track and Dundalk Greyhound Race track on 21st April, 1990, the levy payable on a course bet shall be calculated at the rate of 2½% of such course bet.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of these regulations is to reduce the rate of levy payable to Bord na gCon on course bets from 5 per cent to 2½ per cent at the meetings to be held at Shelbourne Park and Dundalk Greyhound Race tracks on 21st April, 1990.
