SOCIAL WELFARE ACT, 1988 (SECTION 28) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1990.

The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 28 of the Social Welfare Act, 1988 (No. 7 of 1988), hereby orders as follows—

1. This order may be cited as the Social Welfare Act, 1988 (Section 28) (Commencement) Order, 1990.

2. Section 28 of the Social Welfare Act, 1988 shall come into operation on the 27th day of March, 1990.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order brings into effect the provisions of section 28 of the Social Welfare Act, 1988 which provide for the introduction of the pre-retirement allowance scheme.
