SAFETY, HEALTH AND WELFARE AT WORK ACT, 1989 (REPEALS) ORDER, 1990

I, BERTIE AHERN, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 1 (2) and 4 (3) of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 1989 (No. 7 of 1989), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 1989 (Repeals) Order, 1990.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of May, 1990.

2. Section 28 of the Dangerous Substances Act, 1972 (No. 10 of 1972), is hereby repealed.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order repeals section 28 of the Dangerous Substances Act, 1972 from the 1st day of May, 1990. That provision is replaced by section 56 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 1989 .
