ABATTOIRS ACT (SECTION 62 (2)) (REPEAL OF BYE-LAWS) ORDER, 1989.

I, MICHAEL O'KENNEDY, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 1 (2) and 62 (2) of the Abattoirs Act, 1988 (No. 8 of 1988), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Abattoirs Act, 1988 (Section 62 (2)) (Repeal of Bye-laws) Order, 1989.

2. So much of any bye-laws made under any Act by the council of a county, the corporation of a county or other borough, the council of an urban district or the commissioners of a town as relates to the transport of meat shall cease to have effect on the 22nd day of June, 1989.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to annul any provisions in local authority bye-laws relating to the transport of meat.
