MARCANTILE MARINE ACT, 1955 (PORTS OF REGISTRY) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1988.

I, BRENDAN DALY, Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 32(2) of the Marcantile Marine Act, 1955 (No. 29 of 1955), and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1987 ), and after consultation with the Revenue Commissioners, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Mercantile Marine Act, 1955 (Ports of Registry) (Amendment) Order, 1988.

2. The Second Schedule to the Mercantile Marine Act, 1955 (No. 29 of 1955), is hereby amended by the insertion before "Cork" of "Arklow,".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order designates Arklow as a Port of Registry pursuant to the terms of Section 32 of the Mercantile Marine Act, 1955 .
