LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MULTI-STOREY BUILDINGS) ACT, 1988 (DETERMINATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1988.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Taoiseach, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 6 (2) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order and determine as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Multi-storey Buildings) Act, 1988 (Determination of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1988.

2. Whereas a doubt has arisen as to the Minister in whom the functions conferred by sections 11 (1) and 15 (2) of the Local Government (Multi-Storey Buildings) Act, 1988 (No. 29 of 1988), are vested, it is hereby determined that the said functions are vested in the Minister for the Environment.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Order is to designate the Minister for the Environment as the appropriate Minister for the purposes of the Act.
