COURTS (No. 2) ACT, 1986 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1988.

I, GERARD COLLINS, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 10 of the Courts (No. 2) Act, 1986 (No. 26 of 1986), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Courts (No. 2) Act, 1986 (Commencement) Order, 1988.

2. In this Order "the Act of 1986" means the Courts (No. 2) Act, 1986 (No. 26 of 1986).

3. The 22nd day of July, 1988, is hereby fixed as the day on which section 4 of the Act of 1986 shall come into operation.

4. The 22nd day of July, 1988, is hereby fixed as the day on which section 9 of the Act of 1986, in so far as it amends the enactments mentioned in column (1) of the First Schedule to the Act of 1986 (other than the Enforcement of Court Orders Act, 1926 ), and in so far as it repeals the enactments mentioned in column (2) of the Second Schedule to the Act of 1986, shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation the provisions of the Courts (No. 2) Act, 1986 , which enable new procedures for renewal of intoxicating liquor licences and club certificates to be adopted.
