WILDLIFE (WILD BIRDS) (OPEN SEASONS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1986.

I, LIAM KAVANAGH, Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 8 and 24 of the Wildlife Act, 1976 (No. 39 of 1976), as adapted by the Fisheries and Forestry (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1986 ( S.I. No. 40 of 1986 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Wildlife (Wild Birds) (Open Seasons) (Amendment) Order, 1986.

(2) The Wildlife (Wild Birds) (Open Seasons) Orders, 1979 to 1985, and this Order may be cited together as the Wildlife (Wild Birds) (Open Seasons) Orders, 1979 to 1986.

2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the Wildlife (Wild Birds) (Open Seasons) Order, 1979 ( S.I. No. 192 of 1979 ).

3. The First Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended by the substitution of the following for the entry in Part I:

Wild Birds

Open Season

Red Grouse

From the 1st day of September in any year to the 30th day of September in the same year, both dates inclusive.

Mallard

Teal

Gadwall

Pintail

Shoveler

From the 1st day of September in any year to the

Scaup

31st day of January in the following year, both

Tufted Duck

dates inclusive.

Pochard

Goldeneye

Golden Plover

Snipe

Jack Snipe

Grey Partridge

From the 1st day of November in any year to the

Red-legged Partridge

15th day of November in the same year, both dates inclusive.

Cock Pheasant

From the 1st day of November in any year to the

Woodcock

31st day of January in the following year, both

Curlew

dates inclusive.

Woodpigeon

From the commencement of the Wildlife (Wild Birds) (Open Seasons) (Amendment) Order, 1986 to the 31st day of January, 1987 both dates inclusive, and thereafter from the 1st day of June in any year to the 31st day of January in the following year, both dates inclusive.
