FLUORIDATION OF WATER SUPPLIES (TIPPERARY SOUTH RIDING) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1984.

In exercise of the powers vested in the Minister for Health by sections 2 and 4 of the Health (Fluoridation of Water Supplies) Act, 1960 , (No. 46 of 1960) which said powers are delegated to me by the Health (Delegation of Functions) Order, 1984, I, John Donnellan, Minister of State at the Department of Health having complied with subsection (4) of section 2 of that Act and having consulted with the Minister for the Environment hereby make the following regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fluoridation of Water Supplies (Tipperary South Riding) (Amendment) Regulations, 1984.

2. The Fluoridation of Water Supplies (Tipperary South Riding) Regulations, 1964 ( S.I. No. 277 of 1964 ) are hereby amended as follows:—

( a ) by the substitution of "to 7" for "and 5" in sub-article (4) of article 4;

( b ) by the addition to the First Schedule of the following paragraphs—

"6. The Ardfinnan Regional piped water supply.

7. The Dundrum Regional piped water supply."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations require the South Eastern Health Board to arrange for the fluoridation of the Ardfinnan Regional and Dundrum Regional public piped water supplies, in addition to the public piped water supplies specified in the original regulations, and require the Tipperary (South Riding) County Council, acting as agents for the Board, to fluoridate the Ardfinnan Regional and Dundrum Regional public piped water supplies.
