STATE FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS (SPECIAL PROVISIONS) ACT, 1984 (SECTION 2) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1984.

I, ALAN M. DUKES, Minister for Finance, being satisfied that, owing to special circumstances of a temporary nature, it is not possible to operate the Exchequer Account in accordance with the provisions of the Exchequer and Audit Departments Act, 1866, or to operate certain State accounts or to carry out certain other financial transactions on behalf of the State and believing that it is in the national interest to do so, hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2(1) (a) of the State Financial Transactions (Special Provisions) Act, 1984 (No. 23 of 1984), order as follows:

1. This order may be cited as the State Financial Transactions (Special Provisions) Act, 1984 (Section 2) (Commencement) Order, 1984.

2. The 26th day of November, 1984, is hereby appointed as the day on which subsections (2) and (3) of section 2 of the State Financial Transactions (Special Provisions) Act, 1984 (No. 23 of 1984), shall be deemed to have come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order specifies the date on which Sections 2 (2) and 2 (3) of the State Financial Transactions (Special Provisions) Act, 1984 , come into operation.
