Protection of Animals Kept For Farming Purposes Act, 1984


2.—(1) This Act applies to any animal which—

(a) is of a species which for the time being stands specified in a declaration under this section, or

(b) is bred or kept for the production of food, wool, skin, fur or feathers or for use in, or for the purposes of, the farming of land or of animal husbandry.

(2) The Minister may by regulations declare that any animal which is of a species specified in the declaration shall be an animal to which this Act applies.
