I, JIM MITCHELL, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 9 (2) of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Postal and Telecommunicaitons Services Act, 1983 (Bord Telecom Éireann) (Vesting Day) Order, 1983.

2. The first day of January, 1984 shall be the vesting day for Bord Telecom Éireann.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints 1st January, 1984 as the vesting day for Bord Telecom Éireann, the State-sponsored body established in pursuance of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 to take over the operation of the national telecommunications services from the Department of Posts and Telegraphs.
