INDUSTRIAL AND PROVIDENT SOCIETIES (FEES) REGULATIONS, 1983.

I, FRANK CLUSKEY, Minister for Trade, Commerce and Tourism, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 73 of the Industrial and Provident Societies Act, 1893, as adapted by section 2 of the Registry of Friendly Societies Act, 1936 (No. 51 of 1936), and the Industry, Commerce and Tourism (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1981, ( S.I. No. 290 of 1981 ) hereby, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Industrial and Provident Societies (Fees) Regulations, 1983.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 17th day of October, 1983.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to these Regulations.

4. (1) The fees to be paid for matters to be transacted or for the inspection of documents under the Industrial and Provident Societies Acts, 1893 to 1978, shall be the fees that are specified in Part I of the Schedule to these Regulations.

(2) No fee shall be payable for the services specified in Part II of the Schedule to these Regulations.

5. The Industrial and Provident Societies (Fees) Regulations, 1978, ( S.I. No. 84 of 1978 ) are hereby revoked.

Ten pence per photostat copy of any page or extract of any document or portion of any page or extract thereof.

9.

Filing or registering of documents concerning the winding up of a Society under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1963

Such fee as may be specified in the Eight Schedule to the Companies Act, 1963 .

PART II

Services for which no Fee is Chargeable

1.

Cancellation or suspension of the registration of a Society.

2.

Filing of notice of change of registered office.

3.

Filing of an instrument of dissolution or any amendment thereto.

4.

Any document or copy document supplied to a public department.

5.

The provision of any document in respect of which a fee is chargeable under any other Act or under any other provision of the Industrial and Provident Societies Acts, 1893 to 1978.
