CORK PARKING TEMPORARY RULES, 1983.

I, EDWARD J. DOHERTY, a Deputy Commissioner of the Garda Síochána and being authorised under section 8 (2) of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), to exercise or perform all of the powers or duties of the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána during the temporary absence of the said Commissioner, and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90 (7) of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961), the Local Government (Alteration of Names of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 269 of 1977 ), and, with the consent of the Minister for the Environment, hereby make the following temporary rules in respect of the area comprising the county borough of Cork:

1. These rules may be cited as the Cork Parking Temporary Rules, 1983.

2. These rules shall come into operation on the 5th day of August, 1983.

3. In lieu of bye-law 22 of the Cork Parking Bye-Laws, 1974 ( S.I. No. 249 of 1974 ), as amended by the Cork Parking Bye-Laws, 1979 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1979 ), the following shall operate:

"22. A fee of twenty new pence shall be paid for a parking disc.".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These temporary rules amend the Cork Parking Bye-Laws, 1974 ( S.I. No. 249 of 1974 ) and the Cork Parking Bye-Laws, 1979 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1979 ) in providing for an increase in the fee for a parking disc from 10p to 20p.
