POSTS AND TELEGRAPHS (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1982.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Posts and Telegraphs (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1982.

2. The powers and duties of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs under the Acts specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby delegated to Terry Leyden, the Minister of State at the Department of Posts and Telegraphs.

( a ) Post Office Acts, 1908 to 1969.

( b ) Wireless Telegraphy Acts, 1926 to 1972.

( c ) Telecommunications Capital Acts, 1924 to 1981.

( d ) Telegraph Acts, 1863 to 1953.
