Subsidies by Minister for certain loans guaranteed by housing authorities.

12.—The Minister may, with the consent of the Minister for Finance and subject to such regulations as may be made by the Minister for the purposes of this section, pay, out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas, a subsidy to a building society in respect of interest payable for any period commencing on or after the 1st day of June, 1977, on a loan that was or is made by the society for the provision of a house and which was or is guaranteed by a housing authority under section 42 of the Principal Act.
