COMPANIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1977 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1978.

I, DESMOND O'MALLEY, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 11 (3) of the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1977 (No. 31 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1977 (Commencement) Order, 1978.

2. The 1st day of April, 1978, is hereby appointed as the date on which the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1977 (No. 31 of 1977), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints the 1st day of April, 1978 as the day on which the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1977 shall come into operation.
