MILK AND DAIRIES ACT, 1935 (SALE OF MILK) ORDER, 1977.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (1) of section 33 of the Milk and Dairies Act, 1935 (No. 22 of 1935), as adapted by article 4 of the Health (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1947 (S.R. and O. 1947 No. 58), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Milk and Dairies Act, 1935 (Sale of Milk) Order, 1977.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order.

3. On and after the 1st day of July, 1977 the sale of milk is hereby prohibited in the Sanitary Districts specified in the Schedule hereto unless such milk is sold under a special designation within the meaning of Part IV of the Milk and Dairies Act, 1935 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order prohibits, with effect from 1st day of July, 1977 the sale of milk in the Sanitary districts listed in the order unless such milk is sold under a special designation within the meaning of Part IV of the Milk and Dairies Act, 1935 . The special designations are set out in the Milk and Dairies (Special Designations) Regulations 1938 to 1955 (S.R. and O. 1938 No. 148).
