S.I. No. 117 of 1977.

THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (WATER POLLUTION) ACT, 1977, (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1977.

The Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33 of the Local Government (Water Pollution) Act, 1977 (No. 1 of 1977), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Water Pollution) Act, 1977 , (Commencement) Order, 1977.

2. On the 1st day of May, 1977, sections 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14, subsections (7), (8), (9), (13), (14) and (15) of section 16, and sections 22 , 23 , 24 , 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 , 31 , 32 , 33 , 35 and 36 of the Local Government (Water Pollution) Act, 1977 shall come into operation generally.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation on 1st May, 1977, certain provisions of the Local Government (Water Pollution) Act, 1977 .
