HIGHER EDUCATION AUTHORITY ACT, 1971 (DESIGNATION OF INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS, 1976.

I, PETER BARRY, Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 of the Higher Education Authority Act, 1971 (No. 22 of 1971), and after consultation with An tÚdarás um Ard-Oideachas, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Higher Education Authority Act, 1971 (Designation of Institution of Higher Education) (No. 2) Regulations, 1976.

2. Each of the institutions specified in the Schedule to these Regulations is hereby designated as an institution of higher education for the purposes of the Higher Education Authority Act, 1971 (No. 22 of 1971).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These regulations provide that the institutions mentioned in the schedule of these regulations will be institutions of higher education within the meaning of the Higher Education Authority Act, 1971 , Section 1.
