HEALTH SERVICES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1975.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and sections 59 and 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1975.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st April, 1975.

3. The list of diseases and disabilities prescribed under article 8 of the Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1971, is hereby amended to include Parkinsonism, acute leukaemia, muscular dystrophies and multiple sclerosis.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations extend the prescribed list of diseases and disabilities in respect of which drugs, medicines and medical and surgical appliances are provided free irrespective of income.
